คุณสมบัติเบื้องต้น (Entry Requirements)

ผลการเรียน (Academic Score)

ต้องมีผลคะแนน ATAR 99.95 หรือเทียบเท่า ซึ่งถือว่าสูงมากๆ เลยค่ะ
Academic Score: You’ll need an ATAR score of 99.95 or an equivalent, which is considered very high.

วิชาพื้นฐาน (Prerequisites)

ต้องเรียนวิชา Mathematics Advanced (ได้ Band 4) หรือ Mathematics Extension 1 หรือ 2 (ได้ Band E3) รวมถึงวิชาเคมี (Chemistry) และชีววิทยา (Biology)
Prerequisites: You must have completed Mathematics Advanced (Band 4) or Mathematics Extension 1 or 2 (Band E3), as well as Chemistry and Biology.

ผลคะแนนภาษาอังกฤษ (English Language)

ต้องมีผลสอบ IELTS overall 7.0 และทุกทักษะ (ฟัง พูด อ่าน เขียน) ต้องไม่ต่ำกว่า 7.0 หรือผลสอบอื่นที่เทียบเท่า
English Language: An IELTS score with a minimum of 7.0 overall and 7.0 in each band is required, or an equivalent test score.

การประเมินเพิ่มเติม (Assessment)

Assessment: There will be a written assessment and a panel discussion to evaluate a candidate’s communication skills and personal qualities.

ค่าเล่าเรียน (Tuition Fees)

ค่าเล่าเรียนจะแตกต่างกันในสองช่วงของหลักสูตรค่ะ
Tuition Fees: The tuition fees differ between the two stages of the program.

• Bachelor of Science (ปีที่ 1-3): ค่าเล่าเรียนสำหรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติจะอยู่ที่ประมาณ $60,600 ต่อปี
• Doctor of Medicine (ปีที่ 4-7): ค่าเล่าเรียนสำหรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติจะอยู่ที่ประมาณ AUD $97,000 ต่อปี

Living Costs: In addition to tuition fees, you must also plan for living costs in Sydney. For your student visa application, the Australian Government requires you to show proof of funds to cover living expenses, which is set at AUD $29,710 per year. This amount is a good baseline for your financial planning. While Sydney is a city with a high cost of living, it comes with a fantastic quality of life and many great opportunities.

โครงสร้างหลักสูตร (Course Structure)

This pathway takes a total of 7 years and is divided into two main stages.

ช่วงที่ 1: ปริญญาตรี Bachelor of Science (3 ปี)

Stage 1: Bachelor of Science (3 years)

ในช่วงสามปีแรก น้องๆ จะได้ปูพื้นฐานทางวิทยาศาสตร์ให้แน่นปึ้กเลยค่ะ

During the first three years, you will build a very strong foundation in the fundamental sciences.

• จะได้เรียนวิชาหลักทางวิทยาศาสตร์ (core units)
  You will study core units in fundamental sciences.
• เลือกเรียนวิชาเอก (major) จากกลุ่มวิทยาศาสตร์ ซึ่งวิชาที่นิยมกันก็คือ Anatomy and Histology, Immunology and Pathology, และ Physiology ค่ะ
  You will choose a major from the Science disciplinary pool. Popular choices include Anatomy and Histology, Immunology and Pathology, and Physiology.
• น้องๆ ยังสามารถเลือกวิชาเอกที่สองหรือวิชาโท (second major or minor) จากสาขาอื่นๆ ที่ไม่ใช่วิทยาศาสตร์ได้ด้วย เช่น ดนตรี หรือ ภาษา เพื่อเพิ่มความรอบรู้
  You also have the flexibility to choose a second major or a minor from the shared pool, including non-science subjects like music or languages, to broaden your knowledge.

  Additionally, there are electives and Open Learning Environment units.

Stage 2: Doctor of Medicine (MD) (4 years)

หลังจากจบปริญญาตรีแล้ว ก็จะเข้าสู่การเรียนแพทย์อย่างเต็มตัวในหลักสูตร MD ค่ะ
After completing your bachelor’s degree, you will move into the full medical program, the MD.

• การเรียนจะครอบคลุม 8 แกนหลัก (vertical themes) ตั้งแต่วิทยาศาสตร์พื้นฐานไปจนถึงทักษะทางคลินิกและการวิจัย
  The curriculum covers eight vertical themes, ranging from basic and clinical sciences to clinical skills and research.
• น้องๆ จะได้เริ่มฝึกงานและเจอคนไข้จริงตั้งแต่เนิ่นๆ (early clinical exposure)
  You will get early clinical exposure and begin placements early in the program.
• ในปีที่ 3 จะต้องทำโครงการวิจัย (research project) ซึ่งเป็นโอกาสที่ดีในการสร้างผลงานของตัวเองค่ะ
  In the third year, you will undertake a research project, which is a great opportunity to produce your own original work.
