Section 1: The First Crucial Step – Assessment of Your Qualifications

Pathway 1: Direct Entry (5-Year Program)

This pathway is designed for current Year 12 (or equivalent) students. It is also open to applicants who have completed Year 12 no more than two years prior and have not commenced any other tertiary studies (Certificate IV or higher). An important exception is made for applicants required to complete national military service; they can apply during the final year of their service.   • Step 2: ISAT Admissions Test (33.3% weight): The International Student Admissions Test (ISAT) is mandatory. To be considered for an interview, you must achieve a minimum overall score of 170 and a minimum score of 165 in both sections. You must nominate Monash University when you register for the test.
  • Step 3: Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) (33.3% weight): The Monash MMI is a circuit of 4 interview stations. At each station, you will have 2 minutes of reading time, followed by 8 minutes to answer questions. This interview assesses qualities like critical thinking, motivation, empathy, ethical reasoning, and collaboration.
